Captain Thomas Bradley Crockett, 52, a resident of Salisbury, MD for 25 years, passed away on Sunday, February 14, 2010 at his residence.
Born on May 15, 1957 on Tangier Island, Virginia, he was the son of Douglas "Dee" Crockett and the late Elizabeth Crockett of Tangier. He was the tugboat captain of "Tug Honor" for Express Marine, Inc. Tom had been tugging for a total of 28 years. He enjoyed boating, fishing and woodworking, and was a devoted father, grandfather and son.
Other than his father, survivors include a daughter, Anna Crockett Burt and her husband Joseph of Salisbury, MD; a granddaughter, Elizabeth "Lizzie" Burt; a sister, Betty Bowden and her husband Don of Tangier, VA, and several nieces and nephews. Other than his mother, he was predeceased by a brother Mark Crockett.
Funeral services will be conducted from the New Testament Church on Tangier on Saturday, February 20, 2010, at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow in the Crockett Family Cemetery, Tangier. There will be a visitation at the New Testament Church on Friday evening from 7:00 - 9:00.
